SMS Terms & Conditions
Last updated September 3, 2026
These terms apply to the text messaging (SMS) program used by employees of Sortiva's business customers to submit time-off requests, schedule changes, and other scheduling-related messages.
By texting the Sortiva number, you agree to receive text messages from Sortiva related to scheduling and time-off requests. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
1. How to opt in
Your employer — the Sortiva business customer — gives you Sortiva's shared scheduling number during hiring or onboarding. To start texting in, save that number and send your first message to it.
For example, if Sortiva's shared scheduling number is (555) 010-2024, you would text “Hi, I need Friday off” to that shared number to opt in and submit your first scheduling request. Sending that single text is what constitutes your consent to receive reply messages about scheduling and time-off requests.
Example of the exact confirmation message sent the first time someone texts in.
No messages are sent to anyone who has not texted the Sortiva number first. We do not send marketing, promotional, or unsolicited messages through this program.
2. Who sends and receives messages
The Sortiva phone number is used by employees of the trade businesses that use Sortiva (for example HVAC, plumbing, electrical, restoration, roofing, and painting contractors). Employees text the number to submit time-off requests, shift swaps, or other scheduling changes. A business manager or owner receives and responds to those messages through the Sortiva platform.
3. Consent
By texting the Sortiva number, the sender consents to receive reply messages confirming their request, asking for clarification, or providing the final decision. Messages are only sent to people who have texted the number first. No promotional or marketing messages are sent through this program.
4. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier plan. Standard text messaging rates from your mobile provider apply to all messages sent and received.
5. How to opt out
Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT at any time to stop receiving text messages. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message and then no further messages. Reply START, UNSTOP, or YES to opt back in.
6. Help and support
Reply HELP for assistance. For additional questions, contact the Sortiva business you work for or email us at connect@sortiva.studio.
7. Message frequency and content
Messages are typically sent in response to an employee request, so frequency depends on how often an employee texts in. Messages are limited to scheduling-related responses such as confirmations, follow-up questions, or approved/denied decisions.
8. Privacy
Phone numbers and message content are stored securely and are only accessible to the employer that operates the Sortiva account. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
